DRAFT CCWG MEETINGS AGENDAS FOR SEPTEMBER 9-10TH, 2006
(JOINT MEETINGS WITH MEDIA COMMITTEE AND GROW)
NOTE: The following are draft agendas for two CCWG meetings sessions to be
held at the General Assembly scheduled for September 9-10th, 2006 in El
Dorado County. The following may be changed due to proposals made at the
beginning of each meeting and or as a result of the limited time for each meeting.
Persons interested in any particular item are invited to post their questions
and comments to the CCWG email list _gpca-ccwg at cagreens.org_

ALSO NOTE: These meetings will be different from our previous “business”
meetings
because they will be held jointly with the Media Committee and with GROW.
The intent of these joint meetings is to share information between these
groups and gather energies to support our GPCA candidates between the plenary and
Election Day. Come prepared to participate in the discussions and to take
activities plans back to your local County GP.
Session One -- Joint CCWG and Media Committee Meeting
Assemble; Choose Facilitator(s), Notes Taker(s), Time Keeper and Vibes
Watcher(s);
Circulate Attendance Sheets and other written materials. (10)
CCWG Coordinator's Report -- CCWG still needs 2nd Co-Co -- Request for
volunteer.
Brief introduction of overlapping work of CCWG and Media Committee. Ongoing
need
for volunteers on various projects. (10)
Media Committee Coordinator’s Report -- Brief introduction of Media
Committee members
and description of Media Committee activities in 2006. Media Committee
business. (10)
Media Committee Presentation: Outlining a media strategy for the two months
before
the election (30) Topics are expected to include: Newsworthy issues where
GPCA candidates are providing issues; Creating media events; Paid campaign
ads vs. free media opportunities.
Discussion: (30) Reports on how people are connecting with candidates and
their campaigns. Creating plans for local media work for candidates
immediately following plenary.

GROW Presentation: Resources available to candidates and local party
activists. (30) Topics are expected to include: House parties for organizing and
supporting candidates; Candidates literature downloads available from the
GROW websites; Other election cycle tabling materials available from GROW
website. (30)
Discussion: (30) Reports on how people are connecting with candidates and
their campaigns. Assessment of how County GP (County Council or general
membership) is or is not connecting with 2006 GPCA candidates. Creating plans for
local candidates support and local organizing immediately following plenary.
